Description

It is one of the most common varieties cultivated, its tree grows medium strength, is sparsely branched and productive. There are many types known as bread quince. The fruits in these types differ in both taste and size. The main type, bread quince, is suitable for table and industrial use. The fruits are large and showy, the stem side is narrow, the abdomen is wide, the shell is yellow, slightly fuzzy, thick, the flesh is crisp, juicy and tart. It is harvested in the Marmara region in late September. The fruits can be stored for 5-6 months.
