Description

It was obtained in Florence in 1951 by Morettini through a hybridization of William and Coscia. Tree: Strong, produces fruit quickly and abundantly, similar to some quince varieties. It can be partially self-pollinated, and also produces fruit through parthenocarpy. Very productive. Fruit: Medium-sized. Its smooth shell sometimes has small spots that turn red in the sun but are normally green-yellow. The white flesh melts in the mouth, is sweet and resistant to rotting. Harvest Time: End of July, one week before “William”.
